Rejection, or redirection?

As the contemporary adage goes, “What you want, wants you.” So what happens when what you want rejects you, or at least appears to do so (on the surface)? Perhaps this is the perfect moment to take inventory of inner emotions, motivations and even habits. Stumbling blocks are sometimes hidden in plain sight (embedded in habits, motivations and emotions) from the ones that they’re tripping up. The next time you find yourself floundering, or feeling rejected by the object of your desire, ask yourself “what is in the way of what I want?”, and then redirect your approach with three different strategies for manifesting the actual thing, or experience. For some of us, this redirection could mean reframing our emotional memory, rebuilding self esteem, or renewing our mindsets to match the frequency of what we hope to attract. Just be sure to remember: what you want, wants you!

Happy 1st…

…day of Quarter 3, and first day of the second half of 2024. Have you done inventory of the patterns, habits and systems that have anchored the first 6 months of your 2024? This kind of self-reflection can be exponentially rewarding, and if well-harnessed, could place you in A-game territory for the second half of the year. These benefits are not restricted to the successes we muse on, but are equally applicable to the failures we experience–both real and perceived. Retailers are clearing out summer inventory right now to make space for fall ’24 merchandise. What items need to be cleared out of your inventory to usher in a prosperous second half of the year?

Take it easy please.

As the old adage goes, “artists need time to sit and do nothing”.  Perhaps this saying shouldn’t be restricted to artists, but applies to all of us. When was the last time you sat down, and just day dreamed? (Social media scrolling doesn’t count, as that requires mental occupation and increases mental clutter). Today, set aside 10 minutes to allow your mind to wander, and see where the voyage takes you. And while it’s taking you, take it easy.
