Great expectations.

All too often we’re reminded that expectations breed disappointment. And, so what if it does? Arguably, the real disappointment is not the unfulfilled expectation; it’s the inability to regulate our emotional responses to such disappointments. Open your heart, expand your mind, and embrace disappointments as learning opportunities for navigating life. After all, isn’t that what failing forward is all about?

We’re inundated with so much information. For every question, AI has an answer; for every problem, a book was written that guarantees a solution. Yet in all of this knowledge that we’re getting, or obtaining, how much of it is real wisdom with the capacity to transform our life experience?

“Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.” – Proverbs 4:7

Thanks Giving.

What one appreciates, appreciates in value; conversely, what one takes for granted depreciates, until its presence is untraceable. In the spirit of Thanks Giving, can we commit to expressing sincere appreciation to at least three people, daily? If “love covers a multitude of wrongs”, genuine appreciation–when expressed– excuses a heck of a lot!
